A Very Late Post...

Well, it's been a while since I posted on here...Life has a funny way of taking over!

We have been to New York - what a fantastic week we had!  We saw all the main sights, and walked a lot around the city.  We also had the experience of the earthquake and Hurricane Irene, so we got the whole deal!  We are already looking forward to going to the USA again...

Whilst in the USA, I met up with a fellow cross-stitcher that I met on Facebook.  We went to a Cross Stitch Shop in Clifton, New Jersey, where I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!  The shop is called 'Where Victoria's Angels Stitch', and it has almost every design you could wish for...Needless to say, I spent a small fortune in there, having nothing like that here in the UK!  Here are pictures of what I bought:

 Dragon Dreams Charts

Ink Circles charts, Q-Snaps and Needle Minder

 Just Nan charts and charms

Waxing Moon and My Big Toe charts

Caron Waterlilies, Crescent Colours, Weeks Dye Works, DMC and Kreinik threads

I have also been stitching my Lizzie*Kate 'Living with Charm' design:

Other pieces I've stitched are for exchanges and a Baby Nameplate - I'll post pictures of those once I know people have received them all...

Happy Stitching!

Looks like a good time was had by all - and that stash haul from the stitching shop looks fab, wish we had something like that over here (then again maybe not - don't think the cc would survive!)

You were here for the earthquake and Irene? Hey, we pulled all the stops for you! Glad you enjoyed the adventure. LOL!!

Your stitching looks so perfect! Glad that you were able to find items at WVAS. Just think of it as an investment. Especially with the UK pound being so strong.

Thanks for taking part in my blog giveway. I have become a follower of your blog and hope to come often.

Good luck!

Lynn, I'm so glad you joined TSS, and I've so enjoyed getting a sneak peek at your life and stitching; also enjoyed a snippet of your trip to NYC. What a delight to meet up with a friend here, and the STASH is wonderful!!! Glad you got a sample of all we have to choose from in the US. Unfortunately, it is too easy to accumulate if you live here with a large LNS in town. But it's a fun "collection." I was especially interested in your Just Nan and Ink Circles selections. Love those! Your stitching is delightful, and it seems that as a full-time teacher, you still are able to stitch a lot! Great job!
